If the people in charge of Jimi's estate are looking to cash in why would the do this instead of more Hendrix Fender's? I don't get it. Do all the V's and SG Les Pauls ya want, but Fender is what is known for.This boggles my mind...There are a whole lot of exectutives that need to be fired on the spot, and every yes man at Gibson that need to get the Fuck out for this abortion....I also think Jackson should be opening the lines hard and heavy for the Firebird, Explorer and anything else too...

It's simple. Fender has hit their budget on what they will pay to the Hendrix estate and now the family has moved on to another cash cow. Depends. Are they using a solid top or veneers?
If you slice things really thin, you probably could get a lot.

again, going back to my fender comparison. they COULD realisitically release a jimi hendrix dual showman stack, because hendrix DID play them. but they don't. when marshall released the hendrix stack it made sense because hendrix played them.

gibson is doing something retarded becase that ugly new guitar has nothing to do with hendrix. gibson, or what "jimi may have wanted"....how does his half-sister know? did she find sketches or designs that said jimi wanted gibson to build a set-neck strat?

basically when you go to a store and buy a can which is labeled as chopped tomatoes but when you open it there's toxic dog turd sauce or something else inside... the company should be responsible because they LIED about what they sell... or it can be chopped tomatoes but it also includes a lot of chemicals which aren't marked on the can... again lying about what the product is and may cause someone's illness or death.

When Gibson is going to advertise this as authentic hendrix. They are lying. I mean anyone who believes it is an idiot anyway but that doesn't mean the company can sell something and say it's something that it really isn't.
