  • Mighty Mite necks?

I'm pimping out a Randy Rhoads Ex and want to put on a nice reverse headstock, shark tooth inlay neck. Anyone have experience with buying/ using Mighty Mite necks lic'd by Fender? Quality woods? Sound construction? Good fret wire? They supposedly use USA wood and ship it overseas to have it cheaply manufactured.

I've had one. I put it in the "nothing better to do with $100 category."

Gotta suggestion for a better solution? Am I gonna pay more than what I paid for the guitar- 275- just to get a quality neck?

I'm sure someone will correct if I'm wrong, but I think you'll have to go through Musikcraft(?) to get one that will fit a Jackson neck pocket.

Warmoth neck heels are too narrow for most Jackson bodies.

also warmoth doesn't do true 24 fret necks and doesn't the rhoads ex had 24?
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

nope, the rhoads ex had 22. I used to have one, and I remember that making it even harder to get a replacement neck for it!

I had a MM neck in a George Lynch copy muttocaster once and it was fine. 22 fret birdseye maple/ebony w/bubinga stripe. Played and sounded great.

The guy I sold the guitar too still loves it.
All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again.

I have a MM neck on Marilyn.
Ebony fretboard - 12-16 Compound Radius - Abalone Dots.
I did have the frets leveled and edges finished.
                      FANTASTIC playing and feeling !!

I had a few MM necks that I picked up inexpensively and used on projects. No issues whatsoever.
