I've gone off owning V's myself but I still like to see other people play them, and that one looks great.
    Dean headstocks are cool.

It's always inked into the back of the headstock and cleared over.

My ML79 is made in Korea and is top notch.Someone was blowing out the exotics for $399.Now that is a real deal.I would love to have a bubinga ML79.
Would love to have one of the 79's that were out a few years ago that had the matching headstocks and a floyd.
The Czech Deans are awesome too IF you can find one.
          Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Is that a import DBZ? I can't see the headstock well enough. Badass guitar!!!
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

Yes, it's the import. This one was the NAMM show prototype model, signed by Dean Z. himself. It was and will be the only one made with that headstock. DBZ got heat from Dean for the headstocks being too close to Dean's and had to change them. There is a USA version of this guitar that looks identical other than having a floating DBZ logo. Word is that Corey of Trivium has that one but we've never found a pic of him playing it, probably because he just signed to Jackson.

These DBZ's play quite well. The necks are a little chunkier than a Jackson and they have a mild V shape. They come with EMG 81/85's and the Asian Floyd Rose Original.

Saw them on the web somewhere don't remember where, and decided to look up their website. I'm glad I did, they have some beautiful guitars there. I'm not an actives fan but it's all what a person prefers. As far as looks on those, I could druel over them for hours, truly hot guitars. Getting heat from Dean about the headstock? I wish these companies would realize that some customers know where the money for these lawsuits come from (Gibson can you hear me?) we conumers end up footing it when buying their guitars,UGH. Nice guitars man, you have definitly made me jealous.

Hey Sully, here's an example of what Greg said about it being inked under the clear-coat on the back of the headstock:

In this case, at least, the first two digits correspond to the year of manufacture, but I don't know if that's just a coincidence.
