I was gonna do birdseye, but ive heard problems with stability in different climates.

put a neck single on there and hide it in the black bengal stripe I'm not a fan of the modern (24 fretter) body but a bengal works really nice on that one...I like it

That thing needs to come with a pair of skintight parachute pants and an english cucumber.

It definitely captures the 80's feel nicely. I think if you go birdeye with just a fingerboard slab and not the entire neck then you avoid most of the stability issues, but I am no expert.

Its actually gonna be a custom Modern body with more rounded, vintage style edge radius.

I've been lovin them, way more touch responsive then the floyds and schallers that I was used to, which is a great thing.
