If your fret and picking hands aren't developed or poor in performance or heavy pick hand you will hear it REALLY WELL with a Kami.
You can/will hear every minute picking nuance with a Kami.
Stuff you don't pay attention or the ear doesn't pick up on with other guitars, you will with a Kami. Changing pickups doesn't help this much either because it's the way it is designed, it's craftsmanship.

It's not a guitar for sloppy players.
Most sloppy players who play one instantly hate it.
It brings out the flaws in one's playing.
generally most maple bodied guitars are like this.
I'm sure the craftsmanship is great but it's the maple that exposes the player.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

American made Taylor acoustics (300 series & up) have 1 3/4" nuts also. I recently got one and it's interesting getting used to that width. makes you work a bit.

I have always loved the ESP Kami.

course I've always loved Lynch's playing, sick guitar created by an insane player.

Don't know if I should chime in...I never really liked playing the Kami. Loved the neck, but the body felt way too big and the maple body combined with the Demon Pup was way too treble oriented. I had an M1 Tiger for a few weeks and the neck was great! I tend to favour larger necks. I thought it was comparable to a DK1, but flatter w/ bigger frets. While Lynch's axes look awesome (they really do) I think they're overratted.

I had a number 1 at it was heavy it had mucho tone but the fact they used a narrow nut on a wide neck was just hard to get used to for me.Quality guitar in every aspect.
          Really? well screw Mark Twain.
