What I believe to be a good Ibeenhad

Hey folks, been awile since I last got on here. My local music shop has a Ibanez RGT6EXFX (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/p...tar?sku=518870), and I want to ask you fellows your opinions on it. The specs are neckthrough BASSWOOD (I don't mind too much), active emg's and fast wizard II neck. It's brand new there for 850$, good deal or not?

ehhh, for 850 you can get a much better ibanez used. if you dig it though, go for it. you are the one that needs to be happy with your purchase.

I tend to go for the used MIJ Ibanez guitars.High quality all the way.
To make my case I got a 91 RG 570 for $100.00 and its an awesome guitar much better than the new ones I've looked at.
Got a 92 RG 550 for $250.00 and its a hell of a great guitar.
The import ones from Indoniesa are OK but not worth the price IMO.
The Korean ones are nice and made well but still over priced for what they are.
If you are a "I have to have a new guitar" type then if you are willing to pay that kind of money go ahead.
I had a real nice RG 321 that was made in Korea and I got it for $89.00.
The deal with Ibanez the MIJ ones will hold their value the others drop like a rock.

Stay with the MIJ Ibanez and you can't go wrong.

You could find a really nice used Carvin in that price range.
Especially if you're looking for a Neck-Thru type guitar.
