the guitar shop in merced ca, had a rear routed fender tele with two humbuckers neck thru, and string through, it was sweet. i was tempted to buy it but the DK2 had my number. I know the tele purist will scoff at me but i wish there were more rear routed teles out there, i just don't like plastic on the top of my guitar, one of the reasons i kind of have issues with strats. i like strats but dunno.

but that's the cool thing when you find one that's close or right on the nose, it makes that guitar that much more special
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

If I walked in to a store looking for a Tele I'd walk out with a Strat or Explorer too, Tele's are ugly!

oh dear god i turned into one of them.....
A JTX Tele-shape has 24 frets and a licensed Floyd, neck is very different from an actual Tele neck but in a very good way for someone who likes J/C guitars. They are pretty inexpensive relative to other J/C models because most J/C fans don't seem to be into the Tele shape.

The Tele is the one girl I have danced with but never married.
                Many times.
My favorite has always been the '71-'74 blondes with maple FB's.

On the advice of experienced Fender guys I am going to check out the CV and see if it fits.
Limited capabiities I know, but I do like those guits.

One of my projects is a Tele and this one had to have some humbuckers...

I understand the dilemma. I like the tele body shape but the traditional specs that you find out there don't do much for me. If I were to get a tele, it would be something more in the lines of the GMW offering with an OFR, single humbucker and a maple board like this. It's got a classy look and would be a killer player.

A "good" Tele, and by good I mean with a very light weight swamp ash body, thick maple neck, old style brass saddle bridge and a screaming bridge pickup is a tone monster.
