NGD: Antigua

CIJ Tele in fairly rare Antigua finish...been waiting almost 3 weeks for delivery on this and it finally arrived today. The pickups will be pulled in the next week or so for the CS Nocaster set...which are phenomenal for those of you Tele users that haven't had the chance to check them out.

I was never a fan of the Antigua, but since I got my TV Twenty, I'm kinda digging it!

I was never really a fan of the color either, but the more I looked into this guitar, the more it grew on me. I'm happy with it.

For some reason, I've never been that turned off by the Antigua finish - it's always been just a little different and unusual, which I like.

And it's funny to think that the Antigua finish was developed in the late '60's by Fender to cover up burn marks created on Coronados due to issues with the binding.
