I've got a couple in the pipeline...

Old-school Charvel replacement neck on a Musikraft 1-piece Ash Charvel-spec body...

also resurrecting my high school-sweetheart Kramer Voyager...I'd held on the the body for all these years..that'll be getting either a Musikraft or Warmoth Angled paddlehead I'm going to have a buddy do an Explorer headstock on...y'know, unless I find a 22-fret Ebony R5 pointy neck on fleabay which never happens...

        How's KnE's product? Worth it?

After reading slowhand66's post, I checked out the KnE site, and now I'm really interested to check out one of their Charvel repro-bodies as compared to a Musikraft one...especially since my friends are trying to convince me to clear-coat the Musikraft one rather than do a solid, (it IS a pretty kickass piece, shame to cover it).

I'm starting to agree with them, so think I'll be saving that body 'til later and picking up a KnE Ash SD SxH with a recessed Floyd rout for the project with the Charvel neck...especially if they're well-made at that price point, holy crap....

Warmoth Strat that myself and Darksaga put together. Chambered body, maple top, ebony neck, Kinman pickups.

          Insert annoying equipment list here....

Mitch makes really decent bodies, and is great to deal with. Especially for the price. Good luck with the build!

Thanks. He's been a pleasure to deal with this week, responds to email inquiries quickly, and has a quick turnaround on orders, so I decided to give it a go. Can't wait to see how the San D body I ordered stacks up against the Musikraft!

If his work's as good or better, will probably keep using him for bodies to help support the local state economy (and a cool guy)... gonna try Musikraft necks next...

Though Mitch's site mentions he's going to begin offering necks too...

Mostly I'm laughing at how - because of a body, one guitar re-build has turned into two, and I got turned on to a another new body supplier in the process...pretty killer.

                      jhale667,

I would love to see some Pic's of the of the build process...

Let me know what you think of the KnE body. I am going to either build a Frankie or 5150 this summer when the weather is better.

Because he's within the state, the body showed up the day after it was created (unless that's a "ship" date stamp in the cavity, but his initial email said it was "on the schedule" to be built that week, so thinking it was indeed made the day before...couldn't be happier with it. Easily on a par with the Musikraft, for less $$. He was great to deal with, fast turnaround - yeah, I'll be ordering bodies from him in the future!

Here's some crappy cell-phone cam photos of the test-fit:

Direct-mounting the pickups, FloydUpgrades Ti Big-Block and stainless steel hardware on the OFR...oh, yes.

Now it needs some Mike Learn love...

                              jhale,

That is awesome. How is Mike going to finish it? When it is all done could you share your thoughts on the overall playability and tone?

Cant wait to see it completed...
