        Here is mine, built from semi-custom Carvin Bolt kit. Stained the body golden yellow, no "finish" on top. Staining + drying took 4.5 hours... and then another 40 minutes to assemble all the parts.

                Ha ha ha... Sorry, dude. I know, it's hard to gauge someone's sense of humor over the Internet sometimes.

                I've dealt with Dave and he's a very cool guy, and I really appreciate the stuff he makes.

                I was interested enough in that whole project when I saw it on Audiozone to do enough "investigation" to figure out that was him, before I really knew who he was, and then when I figured that out... It all made sense.

                I remember at one point he made it VERY clear that the guitar was TRASHED when he got it (and it was!) I think because some people had said the same thing ("Why would you do that...") in a serious way.

                Anyway, yeah. Very tongue-in-cheek, that comment.
