The new JP to be released at NAMM. I find the JP colors rather strange including this one, but otherwise this is a gorgeous guitar. It is very ironic how they changed the body (originally a Silo) to resemble a Soloist or RG.

Looks way nicer than the old one. For me, the body style and especially that forearm cut spoiled the look completely.

It looks like a cousin to my black cherry Model 5. I dig it. I like the electronics on it.

Can't see the pics (am at work) but I had a dream last night that I was hanging out with Steve Lukather and I was complaining to him about the color choices available on the JPM. I don't know why he would care, but I told him that I wanted one in white.

It's what he's used on his other two EBMM sig models.

Yeah, my guitar has a seven string JP sig. and it has that weird trem too.

That was not a dream but a prophecy, brother! I think you should start writing "Book of Grandturk" of some sort and start a new guitar-worshiping creed

                    ....and a floyd.
As far as I'm concerned he can stay with Dean and play his dots+fins KV copies, and whatever that aborted fetus he "designed". More like "I saw it in my puke". -Newc

I've have two of the older Petrucci models. They both have that trem and believe it or not it works great. I like it as good or better than my floyds. The guitars have a graphite nut and locking schaller tuners so there's no tuning problems what so ever even if you dive bomb it to the bottom. Plus it'll do that cool chirp thing like nobodys business! Cool trems, you need to try one sometime.

As for the rest of the guitar I can't decide if I like it or not. I'm partial to the originals personally. The BFR's never really did anything for me either, especially for the price.
