77 Aria Pro II (big post)

[Tricky]

Made by Matsumoku, Japan.
Body is a solid chunk of Mahogany. No pancake. Solid carved Maple cap glued flat to body.
Mahogany Set neck, long tenon, Abalone logo, MOP traps,
Jumbo's, 24 3/4. Original PCB electronics, pups, & hardware.
The neck is laser straight with way low action. Strung 10 13 17 24 32 42.
Has some finish wear. But hay, for 33 years old, its all good.
I plan to change the pups to Duncan PGs, or Carvin M22SD/M22.

Killer quality Axe. Excellent fit & finish. You be the judge.
Edwards, Tokai, Gibson, $850-$1700.

I have a 1980 LS700 (or 600, can't tell for sure). Aria Pro made some of the best LP copies out there. Here's mine, and yes it even has fret end binding:

Grandturk, the screws you see in the neck tenon are just there to help secure it when it is glued. Otherwise, it is the same as a Gibson neck joint (well, probably better to be honest.

Did you have your deluxe routed for humbuckers? I was under the impression that the deluxe models came with either p90s or minibuckers.

Yes. I routed it myself after I realized just how awful the mini humbuckers sounded.

I had a red one back in the day. It was my first (good) new guitar. It burned in a practice room fire, along with a 50 watt Plexi & a whole bunch of other gear. Bad scene.

There is a White/Black one on thebay right now.

I have a late 70's Pro II L.P. copy set neck as well its made of Japanese ash in a trans white.
I ditched the PCB pots and put an rsguitarworks pot up grade kit and kept the stock pick ups and it sounds killer.

So the new pots made all the difference. I'll put some new ones in & see what I get.
They had some damn good Chrome on these. The hardware stills looks great on every one I've seen.
