My claims are ridiculous? whatever suites you dude, if you are happy, i'm happy
I dont care what other people think about Ran just because my life does not get worse or better because of that. Simple!!

My input would be that Ran looks like they have some skills, they could really create a dimension in the market by being a bit more creative with their design skills rather than exploiting the fact that they know enforcement of intellectual property would be tough. It is a shame, the stuff looks good.Custom Guitars, Refinish and restorations.

I don't get the whole "The Europe guys can't afford the real deal,so they get a Ran" BS
Funnily enough,I once got a quote from Ran for a BCR Widow bass with the BCR "R" in the headstock, which they were more than willing to do!,but it was too close to BCR's price for a real one,NOT that I was going to buy one anyway.I would no more buy a Ran Forgery than a Las Vegas special
Big deal if the Europe guys cannot afford a USA Custom, get a secondhand one,or save up!
I waited 20 years for a USA B.C.Rich Widow bass,then I was given a KILLER deal on a brand new 2007 one,bought it,and a couple of months later a 1994 one appeared (Typical)
I now have 8 USA Through neck B.C.Rich basses and Shock horror,I am NOT rich and shit me,I'm from Europe

I'm still pissed at ESP for their old M1 "Soloist clones." I remember when my buddy's store started carrying them, IIRC there were ONLY USA Jacksons at the time, I was like "Whoah, it looks like a Jackson, only it's made in Japan and it's CHEAPER!" (still more than I could afford at the time though) so at first I thought this was cool.
Who could blame me? Growing up in an era when any number of Les Paul copies (right down to the control placement and inlays, etc.) were available, and the Ibanez Destroyer, and Strat copies that actually had Strat headstocks, this was nothign out of the ordinary.
But for the first time I really "felt" something wrong about taking someone else's body shape and headstock design and putting your name on a cheaper version of it... Still won't buy an ESP today just because of that, even though they "innovated" their headstock to have the tip cut the opposite direction now.
