Today I was at my local music store hanging out and got talking with the guys and the subject of having spare parts came up and the one guy asked me to ID an old body he had.
He brings in whats left of a guitar I built on 05.I was just sick to see what some dumb ass did to a once beautiful guitar.
The body had been hacked up in the pick up routes, the vintage trem had been removed and they had drilled for a floyd of some sort and screwed that up.
They had tried to do a relic job by sanding with a circular motion then taking a lighter to it and burning the paint on the back.
The guy felt really bad and said he had bought it off some young kid that had done all that to it.
I told him well that happens its really too bad because it was a bad ass guitar.
I did a little intonation work on the other guitar he brought in and asked what he owed me and I said nothing it wasn't off a lot and was an easy fix.
That flipped him out and he said here man have your body back I don't have a neck for it anyway.
I guess things have a way of coming full circle.
Here is what it used to look like.
