tell me more about my baretta?

ok so...
today i went into my local guitar store, and long story short i ended up putting down a deposit on a kramer baretta.
i dont have picks cause i dont have it caus ei havnt payed for it yet but
here's what i remember
head is the pointy kind, with "kramer american" on it.
body looks like it was once cream, but now has aged a fair bit and went a darker cream colour.
bridge is an original floyd rose in black,along with the other hardware
maple neck and fretboard, 22 frets
zebra single slanted humbucker, possibly duncan, not sure though
the serial im not toally sure but i definalty know it was 1 letter followed by 4 numbers. the letter MIGHT have E or F or G, but im not totally sure
however i do know that the numbers were 07XX (not sure of what the last 2 numbers were)
body has a slight recess for the floyd
thats about all i can think to describe...
can anybody tell me more,possibly rough idea of what year
and also how much is it worth?!

oh and^^
it has the key holder thingy on the back of the head, and on the truss rod cover it reads
"BARETTA I"

I'm guessing the parts were made by ESP in Japan and assembled in the States. I believe very few "American" Kramers were built completely in America.

That doesn't make it bad, mind you.

The folks on the Kramer forum should be able to help you out a lot more. There's only a few Kramer guys around these parts.

thanks for the info, which kramer forum is it? i think ive seen 2 kramer forums, just wanna make sure i get the right one!
i aint a kramer guy either really, i'll probably end up selling it pretty soon after ive paid for it!

Baretta's are very nice guitars. I have one myself, but not a American baretta.

There are 2 very fine places to go on the net for info on Kramer guitars.

This is an 87 American pacer deluxe( well it was) So if yours has recessed floyd I would think its newer than that? but the plate is a E plate on this guitae also.

its sort of not recessed, but has a shallow little recess behind the floyd, kind of like a charvel 3dr has

is that you pacer? i love it, reminds me of reb beach a little

You'll likely find it somewhere on this page.

E, F or G suggests any time from mid 86 till 1990. If it's a pointy I am betting 86-88ish.

The zebra pup would likely be a Duncan JB. Small chance that it's a Schaller Golden 50 but if it's a pointy I doubt it.

Maple boards were less common than rosewood, so that probably ups the price a little bit.


Go to Ebay & do some nosing around...you'll see barettas in the completed auction area. They are sought after guitars. If the price is right grab it.

Most parts from that era were ESP made & Neptune assembled. That goes for almost all of the Kramer American line. It is not considered a negative.
