    picked up a tokai explorer (cheap), just a bottom of the range chineese job (ok for a project guitar) but i don't think she'll be happy with another guitar in the house....

      i have a ibby rg 570 hidden away ready to occupy that spot (just have to wait for a day when the other half is in a good mood to introduce it to the herd).

        Man those Tokai rip offs are great.. I used to own a Tokai Strat which I modded to HSS with a Floyd... I loved that guitar .. till it was stolen

        Ibanez used to do rip off`s of an Explorer and a V in the early 80`s which are great guitars also.

          I dig Tokai's stuff. A local shop has a bunch of them and every so often I'll jam on one of the Les Pauls, just to get that perverse need for an LP out of my system. One of the Farriss bros. from INXS has played a Tokai since the early 80s.

          I came across a setneck mahogany Suzuki Explorer a long time ago. That was a really solid guitar. Shit pickups, but otherwise very good.
