If you think his Schecters are built by the same person as the one that you can buy, then I have some fertile land in Iceland to sell you. Some lovely new topsoil there.

so you're saying he's not that good and it requires a special guitar? He has changed his rig a few times over the last few years and still always managed to sound like Loomis. Mahogany bodied guitar, EMGs, Dual Recto, Jeff's hands & brain, should get you in the ballpark. I don't see why an off-the-shelf Schecter couldn't do the job.

Well, his signature guitars are made of ash and not mahogany.

I am in no way implying Loomis needs a special guitar to sound good. As you can see here...

What I am saying is I'm sure that Schecter sends him the best one they can build. Probably not by the guys that build the line guitars.

I'm sure his are made in the custom shop not their MIK line, though I do think their guitars are high quality for the price and were they are made.

I only need one more guitar.

                          I believe it's an Engl SE670 with EL34s

he's used Kranks & Peaveys in the past too. As well as a bunch of different guitars from different makers. And yet always manages to sound like himself.
