Any info on these new Gibson Studios?

As I understand it, the originals didn't have neck binding either.

At any rate, I'd rather have a USA Gibson goldtop for $850 than an Agile, even though the Agile was nice.

According to the Amazon page, the shipping weight is only 1lb, so it must be one of the weight relieved Les Pauls.

Seriously, for $850.00, it doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. Perhaps somebody at Gibson has put down the crack pipe and decided to make guitars which may sell in an economic downturn.
