  • NGD: Custom black limba superstrat.

Some of you may apprecaite this. It's made from black limba, has a flamed maple neck, two DiMarzio pickups, coil-tapped, and a Japanese licensed Floyd Rose trem. The actual feel of the wood is incredible, and I can now see what the fuss about black limba is about. As a thing to hold, it is very satisfying to touch and immensely pleasing aesthetically. The wood has contours, indentations and vein-like passages, which give it tremendous character. As for its sound, it is wonderful. The wood has a very specific tone - very raw, as though the wood is breathing. Very sonorous, full of sustain, and with the DiMarzios packed in, ready to unleash fire and brimstone.

The cutaways and contours look like they are backwards...

      Looks good, but, yeah.
Someone ripped you off by putting the body on upsidedown.

Yeah...same wood as on the Gibson 58' Flying Vees. The Black limba, in my opinion, has a lot more visual character than the white limba - which is just plain vanilla looking. Nice guitar!!

In spite of my dig at your wrong handedness it is a sweet looking guitar. It's kind of reminds me of of a N4, minus the stephens cutaway.

Black Limba usually equals "paint grade Korina" but I like the streaking on this. Very cool!

                    They don't make left-handed pianos!

Nice looking axe there - I don't dig the headstock so much, but the body looks really cool.

I'm going to guess and say those DiMarzios are Tone Zone (b) and Evo (n).
Which is a righteous combo if so.
