I think overall their wood supply is very good, but a lot of it probably depends on what they have at the time. For example some of the birdseye boards they put out are amazing, so I ordered one. Mine is one of the "worst" I think I have seen. Had I known I was going to get that particular BEM board, I would have saved the $30 and just got regular maple.

Overall though you are right, they generally have excellent figured woods.

That thing is tits - nice man. Definitely good job on the paint. I've wanted a bolt for a long time but I was always scared to paint it.

Man I wish I hadnt flunked woodshop. I've seen those in the Carv catalog and always thought it would be cool to do that. But, mine would look like it was made at a fac that uses mentally challenged workers. Actually theirs would look better. I just dont have the guts to try.

        Yours looks sweet though, congrats

What Carvin pickups do you have in her? I'm a big fan of their 6 string pickups.

Well, if you like a natural look, if you can rub a cloth on wood you can always just tung oil it. Like the Walnut one above that looks great with a nice piece of wood.

These are the standard C22B/C22J. I really like the B a lot in the bridge, it's sounds pretty darn good. The J is a little twangy though but I use the neck pickup pretty rarely. If I ever order another one I might try the M22SD in that one.
