Yes, those are the most popular. And then there's the beak-head, which is completely different.

Well, here's the headstock history, see bottom of page. You have the strat heads/classics which are early 80s, then banana's/hockey's and pointy's. There are some variations of these, not sure which one would be the beak-head, haven't heard that term in reference to a Kramer head.

Well according to that its the Classic but Ive often heard it referred to as a beak because it looks like a chicken beak.

Anyway, what I'd like is something like this:

All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again.

Yep, that's the classic headstock. Those are not going to be easy to find out there. That guitar was probably a custom paint job or even a home DIY project guitar ie Kramer neck, different body.

That's a classic beak headstock not to be confused with the Kramer MIJ Focus Classic guitars made in the 1980's. The models were Classic I, Classic II and Classic III. Some models had the word "Classic" on the headstock, too.

Yep, me too. Never heard of it called the "classic" because when I heard it called something, it wasn't classic yet.

I'd like one of the beak head ones with a maple board at some point.
Hmmm, must have missed this when I had it on ebay : )

Back to the original guitar in Q that would be an ESP made guitar if I'm not mistaken the last true USA made Kramers were made in 82.
Cool guitar none the less,Never had a bad one.

                      That's a pointy, not a beak.

I don't understand how the Kramer dudes don't know a beak from a pointy! Come on boys!

Nobody calls the beak "the classic" headstock, it is commonly known as the beak, and for the banana and the pointy, well Goddamn, that's just what they happen to be!

just so we're clear on atleast the look of the pointy Kramers, here's some I've had recently

Notice how they come to a distinct...what's the word...ah, point

+1. From what I remember, even though it says "American" on the headstock (and has a Neptune, NJ neck plate), it wasn't made in the USA.
