Yeah, this news has been kicking around since at least winter NAMM.

I just don't see what the big deal is myself - it's just a White Norlin Pancake 70's Custom.

I'd rather play the guitar he had a part in designing than the one he played until he was able to design his own. (I'd rather play two of them in fact! )

I can't diss Gibson too much for this one. At least it's no Gibson "Jimi Hendrix signature" guitar.

It's gonna be limited to 100 aged, 200 VOS models. Not all les Pauls were pancake so I doubt they will make them a pancake run
            This space for rent

No, but just about everything from the early to mid-70's was. Pancake bodies tapered out late '77 - '78. My '78 was solid mohagony.

If its going to be an exact replica - it should be an exact replica. Otherwise, its just another "fake aged" Les Paul.

Not for nothing, he designed the Sandoval too...and is playing the Les Paul. He always played the Les Paul...just like his Jacksons.

So that's how they're gonna shift the Zakk models that they can't sell now 'coz Ozzy's shitcanned him. Ditch the EMGs, blow it over white, job's a good'un.

No, but I hear he was the inspiration behind the John Denver song "Country Rhoads"
