As I have mentioned on my previous posts I am gettin older and downsizing my rig for a more vintage one. I have sold my MM Axis and I just got an Eric J strat! This thing has got everythin that I've been looking for in a strat. Modern playability with vintage tone. Pics and a full review coming soon Now I am looking for a LP. But my budget for that is limited so it won't be my ultimate LP

Look at a used Guild Bluesbird. They are phenomenal, and you can nab them for around $1000 USD.

Congrats, what color did you get? I picked up a used one a while back that was mint in the case with the case candy in white. Great Strat for sure. As for Les Pauls, now is a good time to find a great price on a used one although you have watch out for Chinese fakes!

Thanks so much guys. Rudy I got the black one. Mine is also a mint used one. Normally I don't really like black strats but I really liked this one with the sort of "dark" maple fingerboard.

I like black Strats. I bought a black Stratocaster Elite back around 1983-1984 which is still with me
