Hey guys!
Since moving out west, my guitar related purchases have dwindled and my playing has suffered from my increasing amount of responsability to the military. Earlier last month, i had purchased a Charvel promod Socal batch 7. I played it for a while, but it turned out it was really for me. I'm usually a big fan of strats, but i guess i didn't care too much for this. I returned it and went looking for something else. Nothing was really interesting other than a Charvel san dimas (pointy head), but by the time i came to look for it, it was gone. Anyways so i went back yesterday and i was looking for something different. I'm not a huge les paul guy, but i love their shape and look and im always looking for one that will feel nice. I played this one for a bit, and loved it. It's an epiphone custom lespaul. It's used however and it did have a bit of damage on the foto flame. So i dealt it down a lot. Luckily the damage is going to be hidden by the pick-guard i ordered, so who cares lol. Meanwhile, I used the extra money i had ( i was prepared to buy a new one or even the zakk wylde, only i don't care for EMG's) to buy me a Dimarzio super distortion to replace the weak bridge pick-up. Now it totally rocks. I find it's a great looking guitar and it's got some very nice sounding tones. It's obviously a great Rhythm guitar, but i suspect once in am done properly setting her up, she will also be a fantastic shredder. I'm just trying to get used to the smaller scale. The frets are smaller. Unless its all in my mind.
I used to have a Gibson studio plus with flamed top that rocked! It had 498T pick-ups that kicked ass. Only there was one yesterday, but they wanted 155$ for it. I'm not paying that much for a gibson pick-up.
Anyways heres for yall!
