yes, it is a boring day, here in st. petersburg, fl. i have pics of yet ANOTHER one of my guitars. this time i bring you my PRS CE24!!!!

i have always preferred the sound of the CE over the custom PRS guitars. the added "spank" given with the bolt-on neck makes me happy. this particular PRS is all mahogany, with a bolt-on maple neck, 24 fret rosewood fingerboard and stock electronics. i first saw this guitar in the PRS catalog when they first released the CEs with the dupont car colors. i forget what the actual models were called, but i KNEW i had to have a burnt-orange metallic CE!!! especially since i once had a 1970 dodge challenger in burnt orange metallic.

first, here are a couple pics of my challenger (i had this in high school, the late '80's).





now, on to the PRS!!!! the color is not exact, but pretty damn close!!!!

My first car was a light (there was light and dark) burnt orange metallic Challenger, but mine had an ugly white vinyl top. Mine was a lowly 318 that had been rebuilt prior to me picking it up, but it has 3.91s or 4.11s in the rear end, so I'd pretty much smoke all of my buddys.

I have a 70 Challenger in the garage (white) that needs a lot of TLC.

Last night I was at the Dodge dealer taking pictures of all the different Challengers. If they come out with a light burnt orange with flat black stripes, I think I'm buying.

I had a 70 Challenger red with a black vinyl top 383 and automatic.Nice car pretty healthy runner too.

straycat and donP, i have you beat in regards to the challenger. mine was a slant 6 with a 3 speed manual!!!!! it had the look but NONE of the power!!!! it was all original though. had the white vinyl seats with that HORRIBLE grainy shit on the door panels....ugh. it used to come off on my arm in the summer. it was a sweet LOOKING ride. i had it about 9 months. i constantly got offers on it for what, at the time, was crazy money. ended up selling it to some dude that wanted to drop a 426 in it. i made a KILLING comapred to the $800 i paid for it. though i have to admit it upset me to think that he was gonna mod a numbers matching, all original challenger....

You dressed it up nicely (or did it come that way) because you have the rally rims, molding trim around the wheel wells, and the chrome gas cap.

The Challenger I have in the garage was a originally a slant 6 Red on Red as well, but it had already been upgraded and painted (crappy three times) when I bought it.

nope, the challenger came that way. my dad was a factory race car driver for chysler in the 60's and he took the car and had it gone over by a restoration dude. his verdict was that it was a special order car. all the numbers matched with the engine and the vin number. the car was locally purchased at dayton andrews dodge back in 1970. i got it from the original owner. it was certainly a freak-mobile!!! very popular at the local car shows.

i am not so much of an old car guy...that's the rest of my family. i have had some cool ones here and there ('56 chevy belair, '66 dodge dart GT), but i like luxury cars. ever since i graduated college it was cadillacs (deville, deville concours, STS) until my current car, a volvo S80 turbo.
