ooohh, Man I recommend you doing either some Stainless frets or the new gold tones if you like the sound of nickel but the wear of stainless. I personally love stainless frets. Bending is so smooth its scary.

I finally got around to taking pics of all my Carvins together for the first time.
        Some are in mid-modification.
The red flame top DC135 will be getting a chrome Dimarzio Evolution with chrome VV singles also.
The green DC127 will be getting a set of Dimarzio Al DiMeola gold poled humbuckers and the purple flame top DC127 will have it's rings removed and mounted to the body.

          Nice herd there mrrs.
When did they offer the offset dots?
Looks like a 135 with rosewood board. Option 50?
          Models
The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
          I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
          And rock that sucker.

Thanks Tricky. Between you, myself, and Texas Toast from the Carvin board, that's a lot of Carvins in Dallas.
The DC135 had the offset dots installed when I picked it up earlier this year and I'm sure it was done aftermarket, and yes it does have the only rosewood fretboard of them all.
I really like your 125, it just screams Hair Metal.

I'm thinking of a maple body with mahogany/maple five-piece neck but with trans vintage yellow over it (and just one pickup). I'm still debating whether I want a maple, rosewood or ebony board, though. I just got my Carvin credit card, and I know my girlfriend is supposed to get me a Carvin gift cert for Christmas, so I've got some time to go over my options yet!

It's actually swamp ash wings with Koa/Maple for the neck.
If I order a DC I'm gonna be getting a walnut neck with mahagony wings just to be different.
There aren't that many makers offering walnut necks that I know of.
I've also been considering the vintage yellow finish, it looks great on lighter woods.
I like ebony for boards because it's more maintenance free and smoother, but the new flame maple option is just too cool to pass up IMO.

Cool. I like all three fretboard woods, but I guess it would be more for looks at this point. I thought rosewood would look better on it at first, then changed my mind to maple, but am second-guessing myself again and am thinking rosewood again or possibly ebony. Decisions, decisions...

That's sweet! Love the Pearl Blue. It's heavy because all of Carvins guitars were made of maple back then. Then they went to poplar and eventually alder as standard.

Rare to see a blue 80s 220. Sweet.

I'm partial to the 80s set neck axes. Still looking for a black set neck DC100.

The guys on the Carvin board refer to this as the Spider-man finish. It reminds me of a snow cone with blueberry and cherry flavors mixed.
A friend just received a CT624 with a see thru black burst to purple on the outside on the quilted maple top. It looks very unique to say the least.

I know Ed is not a fan of anything carvin which doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. I know the quality is great with carvin so the only thing I would think he could have against them is he cant sell them and make any money. Since I have never played a quicksilver I cant make a comparison but I can put it to you this way. When I had it made I had a Warrior Signature and a McInturff glory standard. After receiving the CT6 they both got sold to fund more carvins.
True only cause Ed can't make a buck from Carvin he bags them...........
