I had one that was clearcoated British pounds.. I guess it was one of 5 made.. was a killer guitar. Sold it on ebay for a song to some guy who managed to do the proper research and find all that info out - he made a killing on it when he sold it. Was my main player for a LONG time... awesome necks! Great score - enjoy

I wouldn't go that far. The current Horizons (NTII and FRII) are an absolute joy. As good as anything they've ever produced if not better. They will be considered classics I reckon.
I am fond of these earlier Jackson headstocks though from a nostalgic point of view and because they're great guitars.

I disagree. I have a 1988 Horizon and M-1 Custom. They made things better back then because they didn't mass produce as much adn they were trying to make a name for themselves. Also, the wood back then was better selected with more care taken, and there was simply better wood to choose from back then. The good stuff is all gone.

Its your prerogative to disagree but I've owned 4 80s ESPs (3 Horizons and a Mirage), a 1991 Horizon custom, a 2003 M2 Urban Camo, a 2004 Eclipse CTM and I still own a 2006 Horizon NTII and its the best of them all. If quality has suffered as the years have gone by, I sure as hell haven't noticed. Maybe I've been lucky.

I love this badboy more and more everyday... It plays acoustically like a dream, with amp, AWESOME! I had a 2006 ESP Horizon NTII, it was nice, well built, BKP Cold Sweat pickups etc. but something was missing... Not anymore, this is a keeper, for sure.
