Had a DiMarzio P-90 super D on hand so swapped out the bridge pick up tonight.
Sounds great and not as much 60 cycle hum in the middle position which is a plus.
Nice clean highs and mids.Crank the OD and the super D sings.
The vol pots are 300k and tones are 500k according to the Gibson website so the super D is not brittle/harsh at all smooth and creamy.
Not that I didn't love the stock P90 but I always loved a super D in a L.P.
Pretty easy swap too.
There is a metal plate screwed to the bottom of the route that the old P90 adj screws thread into and the plate has two outboard screw holes tapped into it, all I had to do was drill a hole in the base side to make room for the bass side mounting screw.Easy peasy!
