  • Played an Axl LP copy today...

pretty neat...crackle finish that you can FEEL. Cheap, too. Around $200 on the bay. It had like antique bronze hardware, something you don't see every day. Nice low action, may have to get one.
I still keep practicing though.... Mostly because I hate my neighbors.-MakeAJazzNoiseHere

I see them all the time in pawn shops because they can't give them away. The stores that carried them still have most of them.
Last store I saw a few at have them marked down to $99.00 and still no takers.
If you like them that's all that matters in the long run.

Weird. Never heard of Axl before.

Just watch, some Slash type will make a hit record with one of these and they'll be flying off the shelves

actually... i just ordered one... last night in fact. the crackle one. actually bought it for my bathroom to have up on the wall ala hard rock cafe cause it looks pretty cool. we'll see how it plays if it ends up there or not. it's alder wood which is an off choice for an lp knock off but it's nifty looking. i bought it as art not an instrument.
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

I find it odd that so many would knock an inexpesive "beater" and then turn around and pay $2k plus for an instrument that has "acceptable flaws"....

I've heard of them, but never played one. The LP style looks pretty neat.

They do look cool. A friend of mine has one and my first thought was, "wow, that's different". Was equally surprised that it played well, too.

Found their site. I really like that antique white distressed body, and normally I hate distressed/relic guitars.

Looks like they changed the headstocks a bit much better looking now.Set neck now too, that's better than the bolt on ones I have seen.
Maybe I was a bit hasty.
