Guitar snobbery is entirely ok (and expected here sometimes) but my thinking was this...the thing played well, it looked pretty cool, and yes it had a set neck. All in all, a very decent package for two Benjamin's. Even the electronics seemed pretty good to my ears. The only thing that really looked a little "off"...the nut was finished in the same crackle finish. And, I'm pretty easy to impress by cheap guitars because when I started playing 25 years ago, $200 didn't buy much of anything when it came to playability.

There's a small guitar shop in town that sells them. I occasionally see secondhand ones hanging in the pawnbrokers around town. There's an SRO in white that my son fancies in there now. I didn't look twice at it, but it might be worth a second look.Hail yesterday

I remember being kind of interested in them a couple of years ago. Then someone on here showed a link to the EXACT same guitar with a different logo. Same guitar, right down to the description of it. It was like one site copied and pasted from the other's. No doubt they were made by the same manufaturer, just badged for different companies.
Given how cheap the Axl's are already for what you get, I was wicked surprised that the other guitar was even CHEAPER!! Can't remember who it was, I lost interest in them altogether.I live on the edge of danger facing life and death every single day.....then I leave her at home and go disarm bombs.
