Im getting a ibanez rg550 laser blue 1990
is there a difference of what year rg550 are made? are they all the same?

it says rg550 before 1990 are rare
so is the 1990 rg550 laser blue rare? or the 1991 im not sure which year it is ill know when i see it at my dads this week.

I wouldnt say 80s 550s are rare. Ive had 4 without too much trouble and they were all decent condition.
The 80s ones are probably more sought after but Ive never noticed any major difference in build between 87-92.

The laser blues are probably slightly less frequent than say, Yellow, Black or Red but not more valuable. Its just one colour option and nothing unusual.

Why dont you just tell us what the deal is you have lined up and we can tell if you if its worth it or not?
