The DC727 (or is it a 725 or 721?)... has just arrived. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics, and the lighting is not the best in my house, but will get better ones soon.

Specs:

Maple body, 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, tung oiled back of neck, ebony board, MOP diamond inlays, vintage yellow with high gloss, creme/black pup with one volume, push/pull for coil split, black hardware, string saver saddles, dunlop straplocks, black drop shadow logo, and stainless steel medium jumbo frets.

Thanks. It plays and sounds great! The maple body isn't all that heavy or bright sounding. It's bright enough and sounds very articulate. I've only played it through my old Marshall 2x12 Valvestate 8240 stereo chorus combo, and it's real nice. The pickup is pretty high output! I'll have to try it later through my Carvin V3. Cost was $1549.

wow, from the original pics I thought it was a natural finish with an oiled neck. The new pics look like a completely different guitar.

Thanks, Pete! Haven't had a 7 in awhile and it's fun getting back into it. The neck is thicker than the Ibanez 7 I used to own but thinner than the Schecter 7 I also had. The oiled neck and stainless frets make it so smooth to play. It weighs about 9 pounds and balances great with no neck dive at all.
