I might pick up an ESP Eclipse and I just saw 1 with a floyd. Anyone play 1 of those? I went to guitar center but they only had ltd's so I tried 1 of those (not floyded). Not bad but I left without buying it ,didnt feel good enough to buy. Not much info on the net either about them. I figure Ill get an honest view here .Thanks.

While I love ESP guitars (usually the older ones before LTD started up), for Les Pauls, I only go to Gibson.Last edited by DonP; 04-07-2011, 08:30 PM.

In my country... you username means Vagina.
But yeah, I have tried some Eclipse guitars. Love the ltd 401 and the old ESP I were pretty awesome. But having a floyd on a Les paul always feels wrong to my eyes...SACRILEGE

I have played Eclipses, not Floyded ones, but check this: http://www.rondomusic.com/product1841.html I have the gold finished version which is $279, but this in chrome is only $225. Mine plays like a dream and even sounds pretty good with the stock pickups. The electronics aren't the best but the trem is pretty good. It's not a name brand like ESP but hell, $225? The Gibson LP AXcess is almost $5,000 by comparison and only has 22 frets. You could put EMGs and an OFR on this and it's still be less than the LTD which is about $1000. It's heavier than the Eclipse though, and an Eclipse will have better resale value. Agiles are good guitars though, I have the LP shape with Floyd and the Valkyrie (SG/Viper) with Floyd also. Love 'em both.Ron is the MAN!!!!
