Guitar4.jpgBody.jpg Back2.jpgHeadstock.jpgI get bored over the Wiscosnin winter and usaully get talked in to building something. This time around I stayed basic ala Cantrell or Ian. Scratch built body, modified a built neck. Had fun with all the component guys I have come to know. Not my usaul anglular bodies or Strat'ish stuff. Just basics. Now to see if I can post pic's. Always a frickin issue for me.

Is that a BKP Warpig pickup? Like straycat said, not my cup of tea either but looks very nice. Any specs? What kind of wood did you use for the body? Looks like it has a nice figure to it.It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

I used 2 full size pieces of African mahagony, back laminated them with Wisconsin flamed silver maple for the cap .I cut it and bookmatched it and did all the work on it. Bare Knuckle Aftermath pu. Sperzels, Hipshot bridge, quartersawn Canadian maple neck, thin "D" contour with pau ferro fretboard with paua shell inlay. 24 3/4 scale. CTS pots. Like I said , its pretty basic but it was a straight forward idea over beers kind of thing. Besides having numerous factory strat'ish body guitars,V's,Explorers and having built many of the same shapes I just went basic. Something to get through a Wisconsin winter. Thanks, I appreciate the honesty. My Charvels won't give it the time of day or even look at it. Racist ass guitars.

I like it! Love the color, the neck heel sculpt, and what a great lookin' top!
To me, that guitar says "fun." Looks really clean, too. Nice job!

In all seriousness, that little guitar makes me smile, and I really like the color! I must have orange on my brain, as I picked up some Orange trans tint a couple of weeks ago.

The Mars Cheese Castle.... I don't do the lol thing much , but lol. Yeah , I had fun with the orange dye. The key was to practice on alot of scrap pieces and find something that seemed the right shade . I had used dyes before on a bunch of stuff. I resto'd my 65' SG Special and the red dye I used worked tremendous. The color was just right there.
