  • Dusenberg guitars

I know that they arent really the style of most of the players here, but I've just been gifted one of these and would like to hear a bit about them from someone that has first hand experience with them.

    So, anyone ever played one?

From what I understand, these are fairly high end guitars.

you're like one of the locals now, spending the middle of the day hanging out at "Grandy" (as the young'uns call it)!

I know a guy who has one (his other main axe is a Gibson Lucille), and he loves it. He plays a mix of blues, soul, and southern rock, and it really works.

They are very expensive guitars in the US. Hang on to it. They can be purchased a lot cheaper in Germany as I know someone who just traded a guitar for one. They sell for something like $3500 here.

Its gonna be nearly a month. I was sent to Australia for my job, and my 3rd week here I was given a Duesenberg guitar as a gift back in the states. So now Ive had all this time to research them ..read just about everything I could find about them and watched just about every youtube vid on these things. I am excited and can't wait to get my hands on it! Its a really cool merge of a Gretch and a Les Paul AND a strat (with its 25.5" scale) that you can get unbelievable strat like tones out of. I am REALLY wanting to get back home now lol. Two months in OZ is a long time to be away dammit lol.
