    JB Player Professional Series

    Well I've been looking for one for two years due to it being my first guitar back in the eighties. I found one on my local CL for cheap.....It is fluorescent pink/orange>>Bright!!! Tore it down to replace the wood screws that were makeshift trem posts and the Music Castle had a set to fit the Floyd for $2. Oiled the fret board after cleaning and then setup the string height and trem. Needs one saddle for the D string and she'll be shreddin

    looks sharp! I remember the ads for those way back when. How does it stack up against your other guitars?

      CL huh....I saw one of them elsewhere in that same color recently lol. It looked interesting but I couldnt pull the trigger since no one could tell me the body material over the phone lol. Love to know how it plays

          i had one similar to that. But it had a fake Kahler on it. I think the body wood is basswood. Butut had a nice neck and was neck thru so it was cool. If it had a floyd-esque trem i probably would still have it. It played really good. Mine wasnt as eye catching in color as yours. It was just a snow white with black hardware.

            I remember that they had wireless units in some models for awhile. Kinda neat idea, if you ask me.

              i always liked those original emg select pickups.....

              nice looking guitar!! is it plywood?
              GEAR:

              some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

              some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

              and finally....

              i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

                I'm still looking for a LFR saddle so it hasn't been ran through the paces yet. The action is very low and the Neck Thru should be sweet. It needs the tone pot replaced also so I'll do that while waiting for the saddle. I tried 3 shops today with no luck for the saddle. I'll try Huber & Breese tomorrow. The color is for sure Wicked---screamimg 80's but it was my first guitar and everybody has a soft spot for their first axe, so it stacks up nicely against the others. Don't get me wrong I love my Charvel's,my LP's and my Fender's for sure!

                I have always been told that the Professional series JBP were made from US hardwood and assembled in CA. I believe they were part of Cort and Westheiner.
