I picked up this up last night, very clean and great sound(Emg 81's). I do not know very much about ESP. There is a signature on the headstock and on the back of the neck, "USED" is stamped into the wood. No serial numbers at all. Any help ?
I'm thinking 2000ish M2. They are the only ones that I know of that had the trans finishes like that. I have a 97 that was a HS but I know later there were HH config. MIne was a great guitar and I should not have sold it.
USED= Factory blowout no warranty. Was brand new but was sold veeeeery cheaply to the vendor, therefore the profit margin wasnt enough to afford honoring the warranty. USED was stamped into the wood so it could be spotted as such and therefore would be denied warranty claims.
I'm actually kind of curious about the signature. It's probably the LTD version of an artist sig model, but I don't know their artists other than the biggies.
That's not even an ESP. Look at the headstock. It says LTD. It's very much like saying you have a Gibson, when in fact you have an Epiphone. Is there something shameful about it being an LTD, that you have to call it an ESP? I'm sure we've all been around enough to know the difference.
I've never played an LTD that I liked, but I've heard that some of them are pretty good.
