Every single Trace Warbeast I've come in contact with has been nothing short of horrendous. I can understand issues with one or two, but when I've encountered the same issues on guitars from various stores, I have to start questioning things.
The biggest issues I've run into have been VERY SHARP frets, and this goes for EVERY SINGLE ONE I've ever been in contact with. I'm disappointed, because I think they look really cool, and I'd really like to own one, but I just can't overlook such flaws.
I can deal with the stripes on them being a bit "fuzzy" at the outlines, but razor-sharp frets? No. Regardless of the season, it didn't matter. And then, there was the sound, which was not going to set the world afire anytime soon...
Every company makes some good guitars and bad guitars, so I can give'em a pass on this one, because I have played a few of their neck-through Mockingbirds and a neck-through Eagle, and they were both pretty nice, especially for their prices of around $600-$700. The finish looked great, the hardware looked and worked flawlessly, etc.
I can't recall the neck-through series of Eagle that I played, but I certainly wouldn't mind owning one...

RacerX, the man you kicked in the ASS had nothing to do with class axe, those were claims he made that were not true in anyway.
TLS, class axe did not run BCRich into the ground; BCRich did that to themselves in the late 80's trying to keep up w the jones and follow into the superstrat/bolton market Class. Yes class axe made it even worse, but BCRich during that era was nothing more than a name and some guitars whose shapes were kinda cool even tho they weren't exactly the same as the originals. Even after 95 when the Rico's took control back of BCR the guitars were never the same, and never will be especially since they cant even get the OLD shapes right.

The new imports are very well made. Swap out some cheaper pots and pickups and you have a great guitar. I have a couple Mockingbirds

IMO, all guitars are too expensive to just start swapping parts on. By the time you swap out all the parts, you could've upgraded through 1 or 2 model lines of the same guitar.

I used to have a PX-3 (i think that was the model) and it was truly a great guitar. It was right up there with my SL2H and would sustain like crazy. It was neck-thru and had Rockfield Mafia pups in it. Ebony board and the wood was listed as NATO i think. I sold it so I'm not sure how well it would have stood the test of time, but for around 600.00 brand new I was SHOCKED that a Korean guitar could feel and sound so good.
