  • Framus Help

Do any of you know of a Framus dealer here in the US? I'm interested in buying a Framus Diablo (haven't decided which particular version yet), but dealers seem to be scarce here in the US.

Also, if any of you living in Europe know of a Framus dealer with a few guitars in stock, please let me know.

I've been contacting the US distribution agent, but can't get a reply.

A looong time ago I spoke to the US Distribution agent about the Cobra, and here's what I got:

    Dear Mr. Lemmon,

Tyler Krupsky here with Framus USA.

Thanks for your email and interest with Framus.

Currently the Cobra top amplifier retails in
    The US, for $4,966.00

MAP pricing, which is the lowest you will see it
Advertised as a brand new unit from an authorized
    Dealer is $3,973.00

I am working with a dealer in the bay area called
Audio Images who is setting up stock at the moment,
And I do have these here in stock in NYC at our showroom
    As well.

Let me know if you are interested in finding out more
About these, they are pretty wicked.

I run a recording studio as well and tracked a record
Last weekend with one, sound was gainy and tight.

Thanks again for your email and interest with Framus.

    Best Regards,

Warwick Music Equipment Trading (New York USA) Inc.
Warwick GmbH & Co Music Equipment KG
Warwick Music Equipment Trading (Shanghai) Ltd., Co.
Warwick Music Equipment Trading (Zurich CH) GmbH
Warwick Music Equipment Trading (Praha CZ) s.r.o.
Warwick Music Equipment Trading (Warsaw) Sp. z o.o.
Warwick Music Equipment Trading (Hailsham UK) Ltd.

    Sorry if this doesn't help.

Is there no dealer search on their website?

Framus runs a lot of ads in Guitar World too, but I didn't read the fine print on any dealer info. Maybe something is there?

They have a dealer search, but there does not appear to be a dealer in the U.S. or Britain. I did make contact today with a few German stores with guitars in stock, but I did not realize the dollar was doing so poorly. The current exchange rate makes the guitars on the expensive side. They seem to be nice instruments and, if built to the same level of quality as my Warwick bass, they are definitely top shelf instruments. Unfortunately, purchasing one of the Diablos I wanted from a store in Germany will set me back over $4k, and I can't justify that considering what I could buy in Jackson, Suhr, or Carvin for much less cash.
