I've decided to try to get over my dislike of painting by painting a bunch of guitars. Wish me luck on that.
I built a paint booth a few months back and have been giving it a fair amount of use lately. Here's what I did today:
First up is a Raven made from Spanish Cedar
Next is a Swamp Ash strat style (with some changes) in a color similar to Mopar's Plum Crazy
...finally, this is a Raven bolt on prototype body. The back of the cutaway and neck heel are pretty sculpted out. This one will end up with the city of Chicago's flag painted on it. Looking forward to finishing it, as it'll be a nice guitar for when ol' Sully gets homesick.
All together now!
The glamourous life of guitar building. Time for a beer!
Thanks for checking it out!
Sully
(still not too crazy about painting)
