It's a little too "Les Paul neck on a Flying V body"-ish IMHO. I had proposed a modification to the top of current GMP headstock, but Dan said no-can-do. I understand where he's coming from, but still disappointing.
I get what your saying about it being Gibson-ish, specially on the V, but I think its the whole package really. They are making an updated classic designed V. Between the round horns, and the headstock, it is, for better or worse, Gibson-ish for sure!

I'm cool with the Gibby-ness. Just not the LP/FV mismatch. :P

Not done yet but got a few updated pictures. They are being run together and Dan says they are going to be going in for finish soon. Can't wait! I've never had 2 guitars delivered at the same time. I won't know what to do. I might just sit and stare, maybe frozen? I just don't know?

After seeing them at NAMM a couple weeks ago I think you're going to be very happy! Btw, I posted a bunch of GMP pix from NAMM 2012 on Facebook if you want to drool some more

I've seen these 2 in person and they are both stellar builds.....IMO (and YES I am biased!) these are the finest guitars money can buy....especially at the price point!!

If anyone here needs a quote on your 'dream guitar' from GMP...email me @ [email protected] for the best possible price!

Thats right, of course you have. I keep forgetting. Then you have seen the neck on my alder build? Does the birdseye and those inlays look as awesome as the pictures suggest? I can't wait for both of these. They both are going to be sooo bad ass! I am holding back ordering another until I actually play these but then a couple more are in my 2012! I just can't describe what a pleasure it has been working with Dan, Kimberly and the whole GMP team. They make ordering a custom guitar what it should be, FUN!

YES! ....and they always look even better in person. I think you will be well pleased.

After you play them, there will be no going back....you'll see!

Thanks for the "eyes on" review. I didn't think I could be more stoked than I was, but I was wrong!
