Has anyone played one of these? I saw an add in the latest Guitarworld and checked out their site. They look like a Jackson type copy with crappy paint jobs. They sound good though, I'll give 'em that.

They're build not too far from I live, just a few miles away... But never played one.
Would be cool if they could make a model with a normal paint!

I like the whole military concept. They should continue that theme into the marketplace where you can only buy the guitars from dodgy South African guys at a place of their choosing. Where you can test the merchandise in an abandoned warehouse or forest clearing. No credit, just unmarked bills and no questions asked.
I like the finishes, mostly. I have a Suhr Modern archtop with a drip finish and it's great. Some of these are a bit ropey but not too bad.
The headstock is shite though. Sorry, it's just wrong. It's almost Tyler bad.
And I would think twice about calling one of the models "Gash". Where I come from that's not very complimentary.
Overall, a promising brand but in need of some work.Last edited by Mazrim; 07-13-2011, 06:19 AM.All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again.

I kinda dig these:
But the headstock turns me off and I'm not an "active PU" guy...

I've kinda been watching these guys on a very small level, because I like that a smaller guitar company is seemingly finding some legs. As I hope to be able to be in the same spot, I find myself keeping an eye on this sort of thing. I don't know if I'm crazy about the military slant to it, but it's so hard to come up with something new that people will buy, so I gotta hand it to them. It seems as if they're creating an identity, and that, to me, is awesome. I wish them success, for sure.

I don't mind that Congo, probably because it's just a trans finish. The headstock isn't awful but it does look like an afterthough, or something I would have aimlessly designed in woodshop at high schoolHail yesterday

I played a lot of them at NAMM. They were very nice guitars. The necks were all on the thicker side. All were well built with very low action and played very nicely. The guys said they do a lot of handwork on them, they're not CNC'd guitars. The finishes are a little odd looking (not crappy finishes, just distressed in a way that I haven't seen before). I played 2 with Bareknuckle pickups through an ENGL Powerball that sounded really good. The employees were super cool and very informative.

I think my problem with the HS is the reverse. I like Ibanez and Strat headstocks but hate them reversed. Maybe it's the same with these. Picturing them non-reverse seems better to me.
I agree with sully and hope the best for them. The specs look good and I don't hate the finishes. Honestly I think I've become a bit of a pointy J/C snob.. There's others I like but J/C's and copys (like ESP) are where my eyes are drawn these days.Every man dies... Not every man really lives!!
