Personally I'd like to see the Robot Explorer in a de-robot'ed model, with a few more colors.

The robot explorer is perfect. It has everything I've ever wanted on an explorer.............BUT it has an inflated price tag thanks to that auto-tuner "robot" crap and only available in red. Dammit. Gibson ALWAYS finds a way to keep a guitar from truely being perfect for me.

They brought back the Explorer Pro too, way cool for a Gibson, though it looks like a Dean.

Why does Gibson keep on torturing me with fucking dots in explorers? Otherwise it's perfect.

You could have gotten one of those robot explorers for $999 at Sam Ash when they were blowing them out. I got a robot 'paul at the same time when they were $899 but I took it back, neck didnt agree with me.

No binding, no matching headstock, dots inlays, chrome hardware... Nah.

The solid metallic color ones all had a bound ebony board, trap inlays and a bound headstock... really was a good deal, just wish I liked the neck better.
