      Sup?

Well,,, it depends on how low you have your guitar if this will work for you.

When I was younger I messed up my left collar bone and sometimes it would bother me so much I couldn't even think about playing standing up,even with my Dinky Rev. and that is a fairly light guitar. So I modified a strap into a belt system that let me hand the guitar from my waist, it was a little lower than I was used to but ended up working good enough that I even played a few shows with it.

I did have to move the strap buttons though. I ended up with moving the front one to one of the bolts for the neck, and the other I moved to the top hole of the trem cav plate.

Your ST is neck through I'm guessing,, so if its a keeper what you can do is move the buttons to the front bottom and top rear of the trem cavity plate and it should even help tilt the guitar neck up for you some.

I may even have the strap in a box here somewhere still If I can find it I'll take a pic of it for you.

      Hope that helps

Best thing for Shoulder torture I find is to order some veg tanned top hide 70" x 3/4" x 1/4" leather strip to make old skool straps out of. That or another of my fav tricks is to order a thick top hide 70" x 1" leather belt and make a strap out of that, getting the strap locks to fit can be a pain through.

I have a mockingbird Exotic classic, bony shoulders and have to say have no problems with the weight.

I would advise building up the callous on your shoulder by regular use of a cheesegrater

I'm, not saying he was, but to get muscles like Kane you have to be on steroids, the very maximum you can acheive doing a physical job is Bruce Lee. I've worked with guys built like that and have to say, in the field they are activately useless. The chinese built the western railroad. Doing a physical job you want the optimum power to weight ratio and an efficient build. Carrying around all that weight is self defeating and makes your wrists look small. and you know what they say about owning, large, powerful cars and all....

I had this issue with my Axtra. Its easily a 9 pounder. My issue really wasnt the weight, but the strap digging into a nerve that goes across my left collar bone due to the weight. I just found a standard width strap that was made out of a softer material the allowed the edges of the strap to not dig in. Works wonders. I dont mind the weight, just as long as it doesnt feel like its trying to cut my arm off with the edges of the strap.

You prolly have a nerve impingment in your shoulder..that flares up. Or some other similiar related issue of that area. Try advil, motrin..any anti-inflamatory. Be careful alot of that stuff may cause stomach problems.

I don't think the problem is the guitar ..it's your shoulder. No amount of working out would fix it. In fact it would only make it worse. I also use Voltarin 1% gel. There is a couple pro metal drummers that use it to help endure studio work. The DVD to Dark Tranquility last cd..the drummer holds up a tube.

                            Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
