If nothing else, it's cool that you can get a custom made guitar like this and spec out the body and fingerboard woods, neck profile, electronics, etc. at, what I imagine, is a pretty reasonable price. I doubt the Jackson custom shop would build one due to the "artist replica" issue. And I don't blame the buyer for not dealing with Ed Roman who had 50+ Schon blanks hanging in his shop when I was there a couple years ago.
I realize the Schon body shape isn't for everyone, but if the buyer likes it, then good for him. Enjoy it. No need for the group to piss all over it. Besides, there's a large group of traditional guitar players out there that probably roll their eyes at the site of a Jackson, Charvel, BC Rich, etc. because it's not a 50's Fender strat or some Martin acoustic. Everyone has different tastes, that's why they have menus at restaurants.
