  • NGD - Gibson, Fender and Carvin Content. And Got a Gretch From Stephen Pearcy

So i wanted an Actual honest to goodness Gibby Explorer.. I also will be the first to say Gibson is seriously overrated. but Explorer is my Favorite Gibby so i had to get one.. Traded my SLS3 for it. so not bad i think..

and i also picked up a 91 or 92 Carvin DC135 for 300 bucks. Very nice but little dinged up. Alder/ maple neckthru with 1/2 maple cap. really resonate.

Anyways. heres some pics. and i wanted to see how much smaller my Jackson Explorer was to the original since on the log sheets it says its a Dinky Explorer. but its a neckthru so ?? turns out the body size is smaller than a Gibson.. By quite a bit actually!!!

and hard to see but the upper fret access is a lot different too.. Prolly why Jackson Explorers have terriable upper fret access..

And nothing special here just guy i know was offered up 2 of these From Pearcy and asked if i wanted one. i said sure. never owned a Gretsch and price is what they normally sell for without his association so hey why not right? Be a good slide guitar.

And a 66 P Bass A chick brought into my store. pretty beat up but seems to be mostly original

Wow Bob! You're amassing quite a nice collection. If you get rid of any 1-hummers let a Bro know.

Love the Explorer. I want one just because Gary Moore played a bit on one. I dig the Gretsch too even if they couldn't spell it on the letter of authenticity. And the P-Bass is KILLER. The neck looks amazing.

Cool stuff. Love the comparison of the Jackson and Gibby Explorers. Pretty interesting how very different the body shapes are.

Indeed, maybe we should take it up with FMIC's legal department.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.
