Nice fiddles. I've noticed a surge in Uke buying and playing within the last year. Would you know any particular reason why?

I've noticed uke's getting more popular as well, but I have no idea why. I bought it because I wanted to get another stringed instrument to learn and its a lot closer to a guitar than a banjo or mandolin. Banjo will for sure be the next thing I buy.

As for the uke trend, its not just imagination, either. I know Taylor has been pretty clear without actually saying so that they are going to start making ukes as well, so even the big boys are taking notice. I think Martin already makes a few.
