Need some suggestions on hardware for my project star

Now I am planning to use either one of my San Dimas pointy charvel necks or a jackson USA pointy neck I have for this. so that parts decided. Maple or ebony boards are an option here.

I have chrome and some black hardware but no gold.

For some reason I am feeling like I should go gold/brass on this thing and a creme pick up to make it all out vintage looking. The paint has a nice tint to it that just makes it look right. Same with the way the flames are done.

Any suggestions?

Follow that instinct. It's too bad that it's floyded (IMO) as it'd look great with a brass V-Trem.

I'd go black hardware+pickup, and ebony board. If you're willing to get a gold bridge, I'd say gold bridge + creme pickup + maple board.

As far as pickups go, I'm down with double creme, but don't rule out the zebra. Zebras are like bacon....or boobs; they make everything better.

maple board is the plan creme pickup from len and all gold hardware. I am trying to find a gold OFR to trade for. I have chrome ones out the azz here. If not ill order the stuff prob tomorrow afternoon.

Neck options....to I go with a chandler or model series neck and modify and label them...OR do we go chrome on an original sharkie ebony dimas neck or chandler reverse pau ferro neck.

ill lay out the parts, I am only building for me here sully and really wanted to build as close a replica as possible. That was why I was originally considering the acual dimas necks. I just cannot stand the Charvel by jackson logos they drive me nuts.

I dont have a strathead neck around and really would rather use one of the umpteen pointys I have here. though I do like the look of the legacy ones

I like Stratheads, but I think Stars look better with pointy or Gibson-type banana headstocks.

It says it has a 2 3/16 neck pocket. Doesnt that negate the use of a jackson or charvel model series neck? Unless youre into modding the neck heel or pocket.
