  • Zakk Wylde Epi Bullseye LP in the house

You guys all know what this is.
    In a few words...

    Fit and Finish.. Flawless
Tone.. Awesome and as good as any LP I have ever owned
Playability.. Super low action, no string buzz, perfect intonation

This particular one is absolutely perfect in every way. I'll tell you how good it is. I got it at 6:30pm on Wednesday. I had a gig that night and took it with me. I tuned it up and plugged it in for the first time at the show at sound check. I played it all night. It killed.

Ha Ha!!!!! John was one of the skeptics on that deal too! I'm still waiting. I know 357 will come through.

I still have one of those motorcycles somewhere. I gave the other one away here a few years ago. Fun times.

I was certainly a skeptic on that 357 deal for sure. What a rip off.
Too bad though.. these guitars are friggin awesome

The Epi ZW is a killer guitar. Some will think I'm crazy, but I liked it better than my Gibson LP Standard. So the Standard got sold and the ZW stayed as one of my everyday players.

It got some love with custom MHD pups, and some gold knobs, and it plays absolutely perfect.

                  Sorry about the hijack, lol

yea, its a fat neck. Its a rippin guitar though with excellent tone. It sounds like I am playing 3 guitars at the same time compared to my Ibanez guitars. Its not shrill at all. Its really fat and full sounding and the fit and finish is as good as any LP I have ever owned and I have owned tons of them. Its easily as good as a Gibson LP Custom.

This is precisely why I havent touched any of my shredders since I got the 2 Epis. They sound so thin in comparison to the LPs. That fatness to the tone is what Ive been missing. The higher up the neck you go the more buttery the solos are as well. The necks on mine are fatter than I would usually prefer, but I have to admit theyre comfortable.

I like the previous ones without the actives; less surgery for me to do to put the passives I want in it. It's a very well-made guitar. I have zero complaints about it. And there's something about that finish that I am just drawn to.

yup, mine is one of the early ones with passives. Made it easy to replace the EMG's with some hotter pups

I just installed a brass nut on it... mainly for the Randy Rhoads vibe.. but anyway, I still can't get over how great this guitar is. It sound great, it looks great and its really slutty. I can bend these strings (9's) right off of the neck. If it wasn't for the fact its a LP, a LP body, and an LP neck, I would love this guitar. Any LP guy would love this thing. Man, I am such a strat bodied player.
