    Sorry about the hijack, lol
How do you like the Capt's pick ups?

They are awesome. If you ever have a chance to grab a set, go for it. He makes them specifically for your tastes and tweaks them to whatever you want.

He had never done a covered Pup like this before, but we talked it over and he was totally on board with it. They came out exactly like I wanted, and they sound freaking awesome.

Anyone that's looking for something different than an off the shelf pickup, try MHD. You will be pleased.

Update on my Zack Epi. Believe it or not.. I am still loving this guitar. I have been playing it constantly to get used to the layout and feel of the neck. I am so used to super thin necked Ibanez or Washburn superstrats.
Anyway, this guitar still rocks and rocks HUGE. Great tone, playability is outstanding. Putting 9-42's on it really made it slinky. I can really bend the crap out of the strings. It sounds great clean or with a ton of gain. Its cool looking and it has perfect balance. Heck.. it even stays in tune.
I plan on replacing the lead/rhythm switch though. It is working fine but I think it may not be able to handle the abuse I am going to subject it to. I played it with another band and they made the same comments as my other band. They all agree it sounds better than my Ibanez RG's or my Washburn guitars. Go figure. It still has the stock EMG-HZ passive pickups in it. Its completely stock except for the brass nut.
My RG's and my Washburns all have custom or high end pickups in them.
        Its just a fantastic guitar.

One other thing.... sometimes I will post a review on a guitar that I think is great but maybe not great for me and end up selling it which makes me look like I am sales pitching the guitar prior to me listing it. Thats not my intention. If I think a piece of musical gear is good I will post about it regardless of if its the right piece of gear for me. I didn't think this Epi Zakk would last long with me. I am not a LP guy. I have trouble with the upper fret access on a LP and I don't care for all of the knobs. I like 1 volume only.
Well.. this guitar ain't going anywhere. I bought it with the intent to make some good money on it or use it as good trade bait.
I'm keeping this one. It rocks. Thats a bold statement coming from a guy who has had hundreds of guitars.
          Flame on sucka's....

You know this forum is full of Zakk haters, but that guitar is kick ass, plain and simple.
